NORTH RIDGEVILLE, Ohio-The North Ridgeville City School District reflects on the 2023-24 school year, celebrating the achievements of its graduating seniors, including 129 students earning college credits from Lorain County Community College and seven students receiving associate degrees alongside their diplomas. Additionally, seven retirees were honored at the recent Board of Education meeting.
The passing of Issue 16 in November 2023, a 37-year, 6.26-mill bond issue, marked a significant milestone, providing $143 million for a new high school and maintenance and transportation facility. ThenDesign Architecture (TDA) was selected as the architecture firm for the new high school, initiating a design process that prioritizes input from students, staff, and the community. Academically, the school year showcased innovation and achievement, with students in 5 Blue becoming published authors and integrating math problems into their book, while Honors English students in grades 6-8 collaborated to write and record original songs as part of the Maltz Museum’s Stop the Hate contest.
