CINCINNATI, Ohio-Hamilton County Juvenile Judge Kari Bloom ruled that a 17-year-old accused of murdering University of Cincinnati student Benjamin Addison will be tried as an adult, despite turning 18 since the incident. The suspect faces charges including murder, felony assault, aggravated murder, and aggravated robbery related to the shooting death of Addison on March 30. Addison was killed while reportedly trying to stop a break-in of his car in Mount Auburn. His family expressed profound grief and recounted his final moments. Evidence presented at the hearing included surveillance video allegedly showing the accused and an accomplice fleeing the scene.
