South Euclid Lyndhurst Schools Employee Pleads not Guilty to Stealing Money From a Fundraiser

SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio -Stacie LaRiccia, an employee of South Euclid Lyndhurst Schools, pleaded not guilty in Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court to charges including theft in office, tampering with records, grand theft, and aggravated theft. She is accused of stealing money from a fundraiser held for Principal Mike Fording, who passed away from cancer in November 2023. LaRiccia allegedly raised $37,461 during the fundraiser but University Hospitals did not receive $7,461 of the funds. Her bond was set at $25,000, and she is scheduled to appear in court again on July 3. The school district acknowledged the investigation into the incident and emphasized that district funds were not involved in the fundraiser.
