KENT, Ohio-An 11-year-old has been taken into custody by the Kent Police Department for making threats of a school shooting through a text message to another student. Stanton Middle School was closed on Friday as a precaution. The other student reported the threat to the police, who then interviewed the suspect and his parents. The child was arrested early Friday morning and charged with making terroristic threats, and is currently held at the Portage Juvenile Detention Center.
