Three people were detained Monday after authorities said a teenager inside the store fired shots after being assaulted.
According to a press release from the Holland Police Department, officers were dispatched to the Walmart on McCord Road around 4 p.m. for a call of an active shooter.
Law enforcement officials at the scene told 13 Action News a 17-year-old Walmart employee fired shots at two people who were allegedly trying to assault them. No one was struck by the gunfire.
A press release from the Holland Police Department later did not specify if the juvenile with a gun was an employee.
