TUSCARAWAS, Ohio-Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash on I-77 northbound near mile marker 88 that occurred around 5:45 p.m. Wednesday. A 38-year-old man driving a maroon 2007 Honda Civic lost control of his vehicle, veered off the left side of the road, struck the grass median, and overturned. The driver sustained minor injuries and was taken to Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital. A 6-year-old boy, also in the vehicle, suffered minor injuries and was transported to the same hospital. Tragically, a 4-year-old girl was critically injured in the crash and was transported to Cleveland Clinic Union Hospital, where she was later pronounced dead. Authorities have ruled out alcohol as a contributing factor in the accident.
