As required by Ohio Revised Code, the Berea City School District has developed a reading improvement plan because less than 80% of its third graders achieved English Language Arts (ELA) proficiency on standardized tests conducted earlier this year. The Berea Board of Education approved the plan during the Dec. 9 regular business meeting.
