However, with a slim margin separating the candidates, the final results may change pending the counting of provisional votes and absentee ballots.
Wood County Board of Elections Director Terry Burton anticipates a recount due to the close margin between candidates. The official vote counts will be announced on November 20, with a potential recount scheduled for the week of November 27 if necessary. In the event of a tie, the winner will be determined by a coin toss.
