MIAMI VALLEY, Ohio-Some track and field coaches in Ohio are upset with the Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) for not enforcing its own rule limiting teams to 16 meets.
Despite complaints, OHSAA has stated that violating teams will not face sanctions. Coaches fear this lack of enforcement sets a bad precedent. Three Miami Valley schools exceeded the limit, but one claims it was not in violation. OHSAA plans to clarify the rule to apply to individual athletes next season.
