Columbus Family’s Search for 14-Year-Old Boy Highlights Challenges of Bringing Home Runaways

COLUMBUS, Ohio-Karen Litchington has been searching for her 14-year-old grandson, Arthur Lowery, who ran away from home on August 30 after a dispute about skipping football practice. Arthur, a freshman at West High School, has not been seen at school since then. Litchington and Arthur’s aunt, Dez Corssett, believe he may be staying with friends and are worried about his safety and potential influence from the wrong crowd. They filed a report with the Columbus Division of Police but are currently handling the situation without Franklin County Children Services. Ohio has around 700 missing children reports, with most being resolved. Litchington hopes Arthur will return home soon.
