COLUMBUS, Ohio-On Wednesday afternoon, 16-year-old Ricardo Ramirez, a homicide suspect, was shot by Columbus police after fleeing a traffic stop at the Cooper Colony Townhomes on the city’s Northeast Side. Ramirez was suspected in the fatal shooting of 44-year-old Alejandro Lopez-Lechuga earlier that morning. Police had identified Ramirez through surveillance and video evidence after Lopez-Lechuga was killed during an attempted car break-in.
