Community Working With Police as Search Continues For Suspect Connected to Death of 13-Year-Old in North Linden

COLOMBUS, Ohio-Community members in Linden are actively collaborating with Columbus police to seek justice for the family of 13-year-old Angel Diaz, who was fatally shot in North Linden. They gathered to distribute flyers and door knock, seeking any security camera footage from the night of April 14.

Columbus police are particularly interested in locating the occupants of a Gray 2008-2012 Ford Escape, believing they may have witnessed the incident. Community activists emphasized the heightened fear and concern in the neighborhood, especially after such a tragic event involving a young boy. Doris Rodriguez, an ESL teacher and community activist, highlighted the importance of providing support and resources to the Latino community, ensuring they feel comfortable speaking up and accessing assistance during the investigation.
