Former Pickerington Central Football Coach Jay Sharrett Earns Lifetime Achievement Award

COLUMBUS, Ohio-After over three decades coaching Pickerington Central football, Jay Sharrett retired in 2022, enjoying leisure time with his wife Lynda. Recognized for his achievements, he’ll receive the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Central Ohio High School Sports Awards.

Reflecting on his legacy, Sharrett recalls leading the Tigers to two state championships and numerous accolades. While he no longer attends games regularly, the Sharretts relish newfound freedom, traveling and spending time with family. Adjusting to retirement, they embrace a slower pace of life, planning holiday celebrations and savoring cherished memories of coaching success.
