Hudson Residents Voice Outrage at Decision to Allow Rape Suspect to Stay in School

HUDSON, Ohio-Community members expressed dismay to the Hudson Board of Education over allowing an 18-year-old student, charged with raping a 9-year-old, to continue attending Hudson High School.

Jeremiah Earl Stoehr faces multiple charges including rape, kidnapping, and disseminating harmful content. Stoehr pleaded not guilty, but residents are outraged that he can still attend classes and some activities. Superintendent Dana Addis stated measures have been taken to protect students, but attendees argued for Stoehr’s removal, citing safety concerns. Some suggested alternative education methods, criticizing the board’s decision. The delay in informing families about the indictments intensified the community’s frustration, with students feeling unsafe in their own school.
