SPRINGFIELD, Ohio-Hermanio Joseph, a 36-year-old Haitian immigrant, was denied a motion to pause his nine to 13.5-year prison sentence following a conviction in May. He was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter and vehicular homicide after crossing into oncoming traffic on state Route 41, causing a crash with a Northwestern school bus. The collision resulted in the death of 11-year-old Aiden Clark, who was ejected from the bus when it overturned.
