TOLEDO, Ohio-Two juveniles in east Toledo were robbed while attempting to sell an Orbeez gun, a toy that shoots water-based gel beads. They had advertised the sale on Snapchat and went to a location on Starr Avenue where they encountered around 15 other juveniles, some armed with Orbeez guns and one with a real firearm. The armed suspect stole the victims’ Orbeez gun during the encounter. Fortunately, the victims were unharmed. The incident highlights concerns about Orbeez guns, as some individuals have reportedly modified them in ways that increase their potential for harm.
