FRELAND, Ohio-The Parent Teacher Group (PTG) at Firelands Elementary School is under criminal investigation after thousands of dollars went missing. The PTG, responsible for organizing school events, became suspicious when the president discovered over $4,000 spent on a Royal Caribbean cruise last year.
The Lorain County Sheriff’s Office started investigating in January, revealing a total of nearly $6,400 allegedly stolen. The incident has left students and parents saddened, with the school district cooperating with authorities but refraining from further comment due to the ongoing investigation.
