MASON, Ohio-Mason High School clinched the Ohio High School Athletic Association baseball championship by defeating Twinsburg High School 8-1 in the title game held at Canal Park, the home stadium of the Akron RubberDucks minor league baseball team.
Mason achieved a regular-season record of 21-6, competing against local teams like Oak Hills, Colerain, and Sycamore High Schools within the Greater Miami Conference. They remained undefeated in all postseason games. The team is led by coach Curt Bly, who also teaches English at Mason High School and has coached the team for 11 seasons.
