MEDINA, Ohio-The Medina City School District plans to adopt new textbooks for high school social studies, science, and math classes for the upcoming school year. The Board of Education is expected to approve the adoption next month, with the materials currently available for public review upon request to the department of instruction.
The purchase includes both online textbooks for individual students and a classroom set of physical textbooks, ensuring accessibility and minimizing the need for students to carry heavy books. Online texts offer additional resources compared to physical textbooks. Superintendent Aaron Sable clarified that the district must pay for both physical and online copies, likening it to purchasing content through streaming services.
