ZANESVILLE, Ohio-The Muskingum County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the drowning death of 6-year-old Brinley Gillogly, which occurred late Tuesday morning in a pool not located on her family’s property. Sheriff Matt Lutz stated that the case remains under investigation, with details withheld for now.
Once sufficient information is gathered, it will be presented to the prosecutor’s office, which will decide whether to press charges based on the evidence. Emergency services responded to the incident after a 911 call reporting the child’s drowning. A GoFundMe campaign set up for Brinley’s parents, Rob and Shelly, has exceeded its goal, while a fundraising paint party will be held to further support them.
