April 11th, 2024-COLUMBUS, Ohio-During his State of the State address, Governor Mike DeWine emphasized the importance of investing in children to shape his legacy during his final term. Acknowledging some differences within the Ohio Republican Party, DeWine focused on expanding mental health care access, improving literacy rates, and supporting new mothers.
His proposals include a child care voucher program, upgrading child care facilities, emphasizing literacy education, launching a pilot program for new mothers, expanding access to eyeglasses for children, and increasing mental health crisis support.
