MASON TOWNSHIP, Ohio-Ben Brown, a long-time administrator at Lakota Local Schools, is set to become the new principal of William Mason High School, Ohio’s largest high school. Brown, who has been with Lakota since 2005 and served as principal at Lakota West High School since 2020, announced his departure in a letter to families.
Mason City Schools welcomed Brown’s hiring, highlighting his leadership experience and commitment to student-centered education. Brown’s departure from Lakota West was met with mixed emotions, with district administrators beginning the search for his replacement. Mason’s school board is expected to formally approve Brown’s hiring at their next meeting.
