Ontario Middle School FCCLA Parliamentary Procedure Team Advances to National Competition

ONTARIO, Ohio-The Ontario Middle School’s FCCLA team, comprising seven dedicated students, has achieved a remarkable feat by advancing to the national competition in Seattle, a first in the school’s history. Led by adviser Robin Owen, the team will compete in the Level One category, showcasing their proficiency in parliamentary procedure.

Their journey involves rigorous preparation, including mastering opening and closing ceremonies and passing a written test. Participating in FCCLA has instilled invaluable skills such as leadership, teamwork, and public speaking in the members, as highlighted by Kennedy Sapp and Gia Gfrer. The team seeks support through fundraising efforts to cover expenses for the trip. Principal Chris Miller commends their dedication and predicts a proud representation of OMS and Ohio at the national level.
