Parents sue Reynoldsburg City Schools after nonverbal 6-year-old left on bus for hours

The family of a nonverbal Reynoldsburg City Schools student has filed a federal lawsuit against the district, alleging the child was left unattended and harnessed in a seat on a school bus for hours, and the district failed to investigate appropriately.

The lawsuit, filed Wednesday in U.S. District Court in Columbus, alleges the school district violated the child’s right to an education by putting him in danger, as well as treating his family differently because they are Nepali and non-native English speakers.
