According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, there have been more than 160 measles cases in the United States so far this year. And new cases are being reported on a regular basis. An unvaccinated child died from measles in Texas last month, the first measles-related death reported since 2015. There are no documented cases in Lucas County as of right now, and experts say making sure you and your children are vaccinated is critical to helping keep it that way.
