A Rossford man convicted for trying to meet up with someone he thought was an underage boy for sex, but was actually an undercover officer, was sentenced on Thursday.
Judge Lindsay Navarre sentenced Christopher Deszell, 37, to serve three years in prison and five years of probation on Jan. 30. He pleaded guilty to charges of attempt to commit unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, four counts of importuning and three counts of disseminating matter harmful to juveniles in December. Importuning is the act of soliciting an minor under the age of 13 for sex.
