STOW, Ohio-Jon Leissler, a member of the Stow-Munroe Falls school board, resigned suddenly, effective immediately, leaving a vacant position to be filled. Leissler, whose term expires in 2026, was elected in November 2021.
Nancy Binzel, the school board president, expressed surprise at his resignation and emphasized the need to appoint a new member within 30 days to fill the unexpired term. The resignation will not affect the ongoing search and hiring process for the district’s new superintendent.
