TOLEDO, Ohio-The Toledo Lucas County Public Library board plans to propose a bond issue on the November ballot to secure $153 million over 30 years. This funding will be utilized for construction, improvements, and renovations across the library system’s facilities, excluding the downtown library.
The proposed one-mill levy would cost homeowners approximately $34.95 annually per $100,000 home. However, before it can proceed to the ballot, it requires approval from the Lucas County commissioners. This initiative marks the first time since 1995 that TLCPL seeks community assistance for capital improvements.
