Women & Wine Raises $22,000 for Junior Achievement

LOGAN, OhioThe Junior Achievement (JA) Madison County Women & Wine event, held at London City Hall on April 24, raised over $22,000 to support financial literacy, work readiness, and entrepreneurship among school students. Despite the cancellation of the Logan County Women & Wine event due to a tornado, the JA Madison County Women & Wine committee donated $2,000 to Logan County Schools to purchase JA materials, demonstrating solidarity with the affected community.

Lehan Peters, from Junior Achievement of the Mad River Region, expressed gratitude for the Logan County community’s resilience and extended support, emphasizing the importance of educational resources for every child, especially during challenging times. The remaining proceeds from the Madison County event will fund the purchase of JA materials for schools across the county. JA provides practical training in financial literacy, work readiness, and entrepreneurship, offering skill-building opportunities for young people to explore careers and entrepreneurial values.
