BG School Officials to Meet with Parents; Clifford Resigns From Board

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio-The Bowling Green Board of Education is addressing the differing opinions of parents regarding in-person versus remote learning. They plan to meet with a small group of parents from both sides to seek common ground. President Ginny Stewart emphasized that all parties want what’s best for students and teachers, despite disagreements on the method.

The meeting will be live-streamed on the district’s Facebook page and website, with board members, Superintendent Francis Scruci, and school administrators in attendance. An independent moderator will facilitate discussions. Superintendent Scruci acknowledged the challenges faced by families and expressed respect for differing viewpoints. The board agreed to re-evaluate the option of reopening school buildings monthly during regular board meetings, as proposed by board member Tracy Hovest.
