LIMA, Ohio-Allen County Children Services recently honored local foster families during National Foster Care Month with their annual Foster Parent Appreciation Banquet. The event, held to express gratitude for the safe and nurturing homes provided to children in challenging family circumstances, featured 33 certified foster families in Allen County, Ohio.
The keynote speaker, Jewel Vaugh, highlighted the lasting impact foster parents have on children, emphasizing the enduring bonds formed and the support provided during critical times. Shelly Conrad, program administrator for Allen County Children Services, emphasized the significance of fostering and the lifelong connections forged between children and their foster families.
