SPRINGFIELD, Ohio-Missouri has launched an online interactive map to assist families in finding free meals for children during the summer when schools are closed. Locally, the Springfield school district offers breakfast and lunch on weekdays until the end of June at no cost in 17 specific buildings.
The meals are available to children not enrolled in the summer program Explore, who can check in at the front office to access the cafeteria. Parents have the option to purchase meals for themselves. The program not only provides meals but also offers structured activities for children during the summer break. The free meals are provided at various elementary and middle school buildings in the district.
