More than half of children live in poverty in four Ohio cities, including East Cleveland. In another 33 cities, the child poverty rate is at least 33%, according to new estimates from the U.S. Census Bureau.
The state’s highest child poverty rates are in Warren (52.5%), East Cleveland (52.3%), Portsmouth (52.1%) and Youngstown (50.9%), according to the estimates from the census bureau’s five-year American Community Survey.
