COLUMBUS, Ohio-Principal Mark Caudill of Oakland Park Traditional Alternative Elementary School sought to boost the school’s visibility by organizing a community event. To this end, he partnered with the Eta Nu Nu chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., which had received a $900 grant from the City of Columbus to support National Night Out—a program aimed at improving police-community relations and neighborhood unity. On August 6, the school and fraternity chapter hosted their first National Night Out event, marking a successful collaboration.
