Ohio assistant AG informal opinion: Fredericktown School Board Members-Elect in Conflict of Interest

FREDERICKTOWN, Ohio-The Ohio Attorney General’s office issued an informal opinion stating that two elected board members for Fredericktown Local Schools cannot simultaneously serve on the school board while employed by the Knox County Career Center, which serves the same district. Assistant Attorney General Byers Emmerling conveyed this opinion on behalf of Attorney General Dave Yost to Knox County Prosecutor Chip McConville on December 22, 2021.
