CINCINNATI, Ohio-Cincinnati elementary teacher Mark Altherr, 44, has been arrested on federal child pornography charges after FBI agents found him in a hotel room with a naked child. Altherr, a physical education instructor, had been under surveillance for his alleged involvement in online child pornography. FBI agents intervened at a Columbus hotel when they saw him with the child and discovered the girl in a vulnerable state. Altherr has been placed on administrative leave by Oak Hills Local Schools, which plans to initiate termination proceedings. Federal agents also found child sexual abuse images on his electronic devices and discovered over 200 posts from him on a dark web site linked to pedophiles.
