Ohio High School Baseball Player Chases Runner Down From Outfield, Tags Him Out at Home in Bizarre sequence

COLUMBUS, Ohio-In an Ohio high school baseball game, a remarkable and rare event occurred as an 8U (8-and-under) designation was recorded on the scorecard. During the game between Marion Local and Fort Recovery, center fielder Griffin Burns of Marion Local made a sensational play.

It all began with a pop-up hit by Caden Grisez of Fort Recovery, which led to a series of mishaps and confusion among players. As Grisez attempted an inside-the-park homer, Burns showcased extraordinary hustle, chasing him down and tagging him out at home plate. Despite Marion Local trailing in the game, Burns’ remarkable effort highlighted the contest.
