AKRON, Ohio-The 2024 high school football season in Greater Akron begins with preseason practices starting August 1, and the regular season commences on August 23. The Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) state playoffs pairings will be announced on October 27, with the postseason officially starting on November 1. The season culminates in the OHSAA state championship games scheduled for December 5-7 at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium in Canton, marking the fourth consecutive year for the finals at 7pm.
