St. Ignatius Survives Double Overtime to win Sixth Consecutive Division I boys State Soccer Title

COLUMBUS, Ohio- In a thrilling Division I boys soccer state championship game on Sunday night at Historic Crew Stadium, St. Ignatius secured a 1-0 victory over Columbus St. Charles in double overtime, earning their sixth consecutive state title. The winning goal came in the final second of overtime, when Bryce Ince-Lovelace scored past St. Charles goalkeeper Aiden Rice. St. Ignatius (15-4-2), Ohio’s most successful soccer program with 13 state championships, has now won the last six titles in a row.
