Westerville Schools abandons spring levy, sets sights on Statehouse funding fight

Westerville City Schools is no longer pursuing a ballot initiative in May to offset a revenue shortfall, the district said Tuesday to families.

Earlier in January, the board deliberated placing a 4.9-mill permanent operating levy on the May 6 primary ballot. At a Monday meeting, the board decided not to pursue the levy, instead focusing on “state funding advocacy this spring,” according to a letter sent to families.
