SPRINGFIELD, Ohio-Taylor Kizer has been awarded the 2024 Deb Dunham Memorial Scholarship by Mercy Health. Selected by a committee consisting of staff from Urbana Family Medicine and Pediatrics, as well as Deb Dunham’s family members, Kizer received the $1,000 award for her outstanding volunteer efforts. A recent graduate of Graham High School, Kizer plans to pursue nursing at Clark State Community College.
With experience in healthcare, including working as a food service worker at Mercy Health – Urbana Hospital and soon as a nursing assistant at Mercy Health – Springfield Regional Medical Center, Kizer aims to serve her community’s healthcare needs. The scholarship honors Deb Dunham, a respected nurse known for her dedication to wellness and pediatric care in Champaign County. Established in 2019, the scholarship supports Champaign County students active in community service and extracurricular activities, encouraging them to pursue their academic and career goals while giving back to the community.
