Child found in Columbus After Being Abducted from New York City

COLUMBUS, Ohio-SWAT teams were deployed in Columbus on Tuesday to search for a child abducted from New York City. The Columbus Division of Police received a tip from the NYPD around noon, indicating the child and abductor were believed to be near Interchange Road and North Wilson Road. Police located the suspect and child at a fast food restaurant, arrested the suspect, and took the child to a hospital for precautionary care. The Columbus Police deferred to the NYPD for further details about the child’s relationship to the suspect and the suspect’s identity.
