School absences rise as worst flu season in a decade hits central Ohio

The flu got you down? You definitely aren’t alone.

Some central Ohio districts saw reduced attendance as the flu reaches its peak in February amid its most intense season in 15 years.

Districts like Olentangy Local Schools, Pickerington Local Schools and Grandview Heights have seen increases in the number of student absences, while other districts like Columbus City Schools and Worthington City Schools have not seen a major increase due to illnesses.
