COCHRANTON, Ohio-A 14-year-old Cochranton boy sustained severe injuries in a collision involving an ATV and a tractor in Crawford County. The incident occurred around 5:15 p.m. in Wayne Township. While descending a hill and negotiating a blind bend, the ATV collided with a John Deere tractor and its towed equipment.
The impact threw the boy from the ATV, causing heavy damage to the vehicle. Despite wearing a helmet, it was improperly used. The boy was airlifted to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown, where he remains in critical condition. The tractor driver, a 57-year-old man, reported no injuries, with minor damage to the tractor and its equipment.
