‘A Place to call Home’ | Woodward Marching Band Director, Students Celebrate After Getting new Instruments

CINCINNATI, Ohio-The Woodward Bulldogs Marching Band has received nine new instruments, including three trombones and six trumpets, thanks to a $3,000 Hamilton County grant. Band director Tyree Gilbert shared the students’ excitement on social media, with one student thrilled about the new silver trumpet. Gilbert noted that the new instruments, acquired through the Woodward Trust Grant Foundation, have helped attract more students to the band and uplift their overall sound, especially since some existing instruments were decades old. The band recently performed with the South Avondale Elementary band to inspire more young musicians, with student Eli Benton emphasizing the positive impact of music on their lives.
