SPRINGFIELD, Ohio-Emmanuel Christian Academy in Springfield has developed a dual drone and aviation curriculum that is experiencing significant growth. This program is seen as a vital contributor to addressing workforce shortages in the aviation industry, which currently faces thousands of job vacancies nationwide.
Colleen Walsh-Conklin, from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University’s Gaetz Aerospace Institute (GAI), emphasizes the urgent need for such programs to meet industry demands. Since 2018, the school has partnered with GAI to provide high school-level aviation courses focusing on unmanned systems, including drone-related education.
