COLUMBUS, Ohio-Columbus City Schools has announced the appointment of two new principals for the 2024-2025 school year:
1. Devonshire Elementary School: Dr. Anthony Peddle has been named Principal. With a Doctor of Education in Leadership Studies and extensive experience, including his role as Assistant Principal at Devonshire Project Adventure Elementary School, Dr. Peddle brings a strong background in educational leadership and a commitment to student success and diversity.
2. Champion Middle School: Kay Fields-Battle will serve as Principal. Having been with Columbus City Schools since 1996, Fields-Battle’s background includes roles such as Assistant Principal at Centennial High School and a Leadership Intern. She holds a Master’s in Educational Leadership and Allied Professions and is known for her innovative approach and dedication to enhancing student performance and community engagement.
