COLUMBUS, Ohio-Columbus Alternative High School junior Benji Simmons recalls two childhood dreams involving frightening scenes with carrots. These dreams inspired her artwork, culminating in her acrylic painting titled “Dreams.” This piece will be displayed in the underground tunnel connecting the Verne Riffe Center to the Ohio Statehouse, where many will see it. Simmons expresses excitement about revisiting her painting and observing how others interpret it.
