Columbus Schools superintendent: Proposed $45 million state budget cut a ‘betrayal’

Columbus City Schools Superintendent Angela Chapman said the district stands to lose more than $45 million in revenue under Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine’s proposed state budget, saying the cuts would be “a betrayal of trust.” In a Friday letter to the community, Chapman said that the district would lose more than $45 million over the next two school years under the proposed budget from the governor’s office.
