A Dayton woman charged with the overdose death of her 5-year-old grandson was sentenced to prison after pleading guilty in an agreement filed Tuesday.
Stephanie Renee Shanks, 60, pleaded guilty to one felony charge of involuntary manslaughter and two misdemeanor charges of endangering children.
As part of the plea, Shanks agreed to spend four to six years in prison. She agreed not to seek judicial release and to waive all appellate and post-conviction actions, as well as to withdraw all her pending motions.
